Carding Tricks and Techniques

Learn carding tricks and techniques developed from techniques taught by Deb Menz and Lexi Boeger a.k.a. Pluckyfluff. With the use of a handcarder, you will learn how to produce yarns with more delineated colors instead of a muddled effect. Have you ever wondered how Pluckyfluff produces those crazy batts? With a drum carder, you will learn the secret of the fiber sandwich. Feel free to bring along your own unusual fibers (sari waste, plant fibers, synthetic fibers). Learn the “Jumpsheep” trick for reproduceable tweedy wool yarns for a whole sweater.
